YOUR NEXT STEP WITH JEFF WALTHERS

YOUR NEXT STEP
Procrastination is sometimes just the fear of taking the next step. You think you’re stuck until you realize you just haven’t made the decision to move.

The steps of a man are established by the LORD, when he delights in his way.
-Psalm 37:23

KEY TO FOLLOWING JESUS

GOT A SECOND:
KEY TO FOLLOWING JESUS
Pride is not always conscious arrogance. Mostly it’s subconscious self-sufficiency.
It’s when we cease walking in our own strength that we follow Christ.

And he said to all, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.
-Luke 9:23

Walk well,

Living Life With God’s Purpose

Live Your Life With Purpose
You are no accident. God created you with His intention for a very special purpose. Take charge and responsibility for your life and know the blessings that await.

“casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,”

Dry Creeks In Your Life

Dry Creeks In Your Life

Have you found yourself in a season where what was once good, has dried up,and you look around asking God what happened? Maybe it’s time to get up and move on like Elijah did.

There is a new season waiting to bless you and for you to bless others through your willingness to follow God’s direction.

Much Love & Respect,a
Scott

2 Then the word of the Lord came to Elijah: 3 “Leave here, turn eastward and hide in the Kerith Ravine, east of the Jordan. 4 You will drink from the brook, and I have directed the ravens to supply you with food there.”

5 So he did what the Lord had told him. He went to the Kerith Ravine, east of the Jordan, and stayed there. 6 The ravens brought him bread and meat in the morning and bread and meat in the evening, and he drank from the brook.

7 Some time later the brook dried up because there had been no rain in the land. 8 Then the word of the Lord came to him: 9 “Go at once to Zarephath in the region of Sidon and stay there. I have directed a widow there to supply you with food.”

~ 1 Kings 17:2-9

Intentional | The Life Created For You

Brothers,
God placed two words on my heart for this year. Purposeful and Intentional. These words were meant to bless me by sharing them with you.

We naturally respond to situations through emotion and action. Often times, the outcomes aren’t what we expected or wanted. Yet, we find ourselves unable to apologize, afraid of the consequences or just ashamed of what we’ve done.

Allowing a single breath to pause before we react, is part of living with intention. Taking the split second to consider the costs – good or bad, of what it is and who it is that might be hurt, will change your life forever.

I love you and I’m praying for you,

God bless you,
Scott

Pain. Yeah Time Doesn’t Heal It

My oldest brother sent me an email. It broke my heart. He’s not far from 70 years old. He, like me and our 5 siblings have suffered greatly from past pain.

I was lied to most of my life by so many well-intended people. Guess what? Time does not heal all wounds. Please, take the time to read the proof:

Scott after we moved to…it was me, sister, sister and brother. He was just a little bitty baby.  Daddy put up a basketball hoop.
I would go watch the high school team practice, They had this code “high/low”, Did it mean “go high” “go low” I don’t think so. I didn’t know what it meant. I just repeated it.
Sister and I were playing in the driveway and Daddy walked by, he looked me and said, “Stupid” it has stuck my whole life.
Our words hold the power of life and death. Unfortunately, I’d guess most of us could share an experience of harsh words that caused incredible pain. It doesn’t fade or get forgotten. It causes us to hurt.
Pain from our past also shows itself in many external ways. Pain can manifest as alcoholism, drug addiction, sexual sin, pornography, depression, violence and suicide. The longer we allow it to fester inside, the greater the troubles we experience on the outside.
The tongue has the power of life and death,
and those who love it will eat its fruit.
Proverbs 18:21
You can know freedom from past pain. There is only one source for that life-restoring relief. That comes from Jesus Christ. He knows our burdens. He’s suffered as we have, and He wants to free you from your past.
All you have to do is call out to Him. Some people ask why doesn’t He just take care of it. He will, but God has blessed us with free will. We wanted it, and because He loves us, we got it. Therefore, Jesus will come, but only when we ask.

“Look! I have been standing at the door, and I am constantly knocking. If anyone hears me calling him and opens the door, I will come in and fellowship with him and he with me.

Revelation 3:20

Please, free yourself from the pain, shame and guilt of suffering with past personal pain. You can live a blessed life. Christ is the answer.

Much Love and Respect,

Scott
